Ms. Japhtaline Mantuka Maisela is a Professional Pension Fund Trustee and Human Resources Professional. , who has contributed extensively in transformation within SA businesses as well as Pension Funds.

She is actively involved in Pension Fund and Asset Management forums Locally and internationally, amongst others South African Venture Capital Association (SAVCA) BATSETA, IRFA, ABSIP, Prosper Africa, National Association of Security Personnel, SAPFIF, EPFIF including the CFA.

Ms. Maisela is the CEO of Khomolema Consulting (PTY) LTD.

Her qualifications include a Master’s Degree in Management from Wits University, Post Graduate Diploma in Management from Wits, Production Management Diploma (Kyushu), Japan), and also attended a Leadership Development Programme from Wharton Business School, University of Pennsylvania.

She is a Fellow of the Institute of Directors and a member of the Society of Human Resources Management (SHRM), member of World of Work (USA).

Currently she is a chairperson of the Motor Industry Retirement Funds, as well as Board Member and Committee member of the following Companies: AFRICAN WOMEN IMPACT FUND, SASRIA SOC LTD, Motor Industry Retirement Funds (MIRF), Government Employee Pension Fund (GEPF).

She previously served as a Board Member and Committee member of the following companies: Eskom Pension and Provident Fund. (EPPF), MEDSHIELD Medical Scheme, MERSETA, National Consumer Council, Air Traffic and Navigation Services, Eskom Pension and Provident Fund, Motor Industry Bargaining Council (MIBCO), South African National Parks (SANParks), PetroSA, Deloitte and Touche, South African National Committee of the World Petroleum Council, South African National Committee of the World Petroleum Council, Bridging the Gap Group,  Murray and Roberts Holdings.

Ms. Maisela was appointed by the President to serve as a Commissioner of the Independent Commission for the Remuneration of Public Office Bearers on 01 May 2022.
